The cactus wren is the state bird of Arizona. The bride has white spots on a brown body as well as a curved beak and white “eyeliner” along their eyes. They are found in and around Tucson, frequently making their homes within cactus for protection from their predators.

Historic Fort Lowell is one of the neighborhoods that define Tucson. The area was constructed out of an actual abandoned fort, and features a blend of southwestern and Dutch architecture. Several bohemians have called the area home, including Jack Maul, Madame Cheruy and Veronica Hughart.
